Pauline Herault

“No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle,” is a quote from Winston Churchill that, in many ways, could describe the pace of Pauline Herault’s life. Meet the director of vacation rentals and seasonal accommodation at the Barnes agency in Méribel.

Pauline Herault and Emilie Bernard

Méribel, a childhood love affair with the mountains

Born in Belgium and raised in the town of Waterloo, Pauline spent all her vacations in Méribel. Her love of the mountains, the colorful landscapes and the resort throughout the seasons, and the sporting, friendly atmosphere was passed down by her grandparents and parents, who spent every possible moment in their Savoyard apartments. Pauline had vivid, fond memories of these trips – and the stories to match.

Thanks to the parents’ close ties with the village, it was only natural that the family should leave their native Belgium and move to Méribel in Savoie. At the age of 13, Pauline began studying horse riding and skiing in Grenoble, with the dream of opening an equestrian stable. The sport forged her character and imposed a fierce discipline. She developed a competitive mindset, and hard work and decisiveness became part of her identity.

A route through the heart of the 3 Vallées

The pieces of the puzzle slowly came together, and a little elevation was required to realize the obvious destiny that lay ahead. At the time, Pauline held the reins with a firm hand, separating her personal life in Courchevel and her professional life in Méribel. Needless to say, she now knows the valleys like the back of her hand! Following an accident, Pauline’s career took a turn towards the real estate business. Over time, she consolidated her expertise in property sales while honing her skills to ultimately develop satellite services focused on seasonal accommodation.

Attention to the smallest detail

Today, her team is close-knit and works at an astonishing pace. Customer relations are meticulous, right down to the smallest details, to guarantee both an excellent experience for tenants and peace of mind for owners. Building loyalty and winning over new clients are two strategic challenges for this sector within the agency, and Pauline has them both in her sights. Developing the tourist rental activity across the local property stock has a bright future in the village, with delighted holidaymakers returning as often as possible and owners watching their properties increase in value. If you have an idea of where you would like to spend your next vacation in the heart of the valleys, and you are looking for your perfect pied-à-terre, talk to Pauline, who will be delighted to help you find it.
